   Must-See Resources

Coming Out As You Guide ~ Need a little guidance coming out? Not even sure what you're coming out as, or how to talk with your family and friends about it? The folks at The Trevor Project created a 3-step program you can do at home for free. And if you decide not to come out, that’s ok too.

Recovering from Religion ~ One of the largest resource sites for both religious folks who still value their faith and non-religious folks seeking secular help. See their vast list of mental health and crisis information, find a local support group, or call 1-844-368-2848 to talk with someone from their peer support hotline.

The Secular Therapy Project ~ Find a therapist without a spiritual agenda in this growing database of non-religious mental health professionals who use evidence-based approaches to counseling. Find a secular therapist near you.

Journey Free ~ Dr. Marlene Winell is the therapist who coined the term Religious Trauma Syndrome. She offers sessions over Skype or from her office in Oakland, CA. Dr. Winell also leads an online support group and holds weekend retreats for those looking to reclaim their lives after toxic faith.

Break Free Together Dinner parties for people healing from sexual shame? We're down. Linda Kay Klein, author of Pure: Inside the Evangelical Movement that Shamed a Generation of Women and How I Broke Free, founded this organization bringing together people from various religious backgrounds for story exchange over the dinner table. Break free from shame!
